Bauer X800 is a stick in the next generation of Bauer’s Vapor line made ideal for crafty players. Continuing the focus on puck handling and quick release shots, the X800 is revamped with improved QRT technology which features an aggressive taper that gives this stick a low kick profile and has also been completely optimized with a new layup design. The result ends with an X800 hockey stick that has been made lighter, faster, and stronger than its predecessor Bauer’s research showed that reorienting the layers of carbon fiber would pay huge dividends in the progression of not only QRT tech but also the entire Vapor line as a whole. CCM's RBZ 280 Composite Stick offers most of their elite features found in the flagship Speedburner, while coming in at a more affordable price point. Their partnership with Taylor Made is once again the driving factor behind the RBZ's performance, with a redesigned hosel technology taking center stage this year. Their "Power Hosel Technology" is a redesign of the lower portion of the RBZ shaft, adding an internal rib and building it to be inserted into the blade. By inserting the shaft into the blade hosel, the energy transfer of the stick becomes much more efficient. This means that when you flex the shaft while shooting, energy travels through the stick and to the puck quicker with less energy lost. The result is a more powerful shot with a faster release in comparison to previous RBZ models. Further inspiration from Taylor Made can be found in the construction and weight distribution of the RBZ line's shaft in their "Very Low Swing Weight" Technology. This influences how light or balanced the stick feels and helps shooters to maximize the speed of their swing on slapshots.
