At the bottom and the most affordable of the Stage 2 line is the RBZ 40 Composite Stick by CCM. The RBZ 40 offers durability which is great for recreational and entry-level players.
The design is one of the biggest changes to the Stage 2 line. A dark upper half of the stick contrasts with the white bottom half, and a black strip finds itself on the top of the blade and lower portion of the shaft. The reason for the altered color scheme was well thought out by the design team at CCM---leaving the lower half white makes the stick difficult for a goalie to distinguish from the white ice and boards, while adding black on the top of the lower shaft and blade makes the stick more visible in your peripherals while stick-handling.
The shaft of the RBZ 40 is designed with a balance between weight and flex distribution to give you more torque on your follow-through and a quicker release. The constant stiffness of the shaft gives you a customized kick point for optimal loading.
The High C.O.R. blade continues the trampoline effect much like what is built into the higher end RBZ models. This translates to a blade that releases stored energy upon impact, resulting in harder passes and heavier shots.
