The tongue includes additional thick foams down the center for a pro-styled feel. The embossed guard helps alleviate lace bite and protects the top of the foot from pucks and slashes. The FT380 interior has been upgraded with CCM’s premier Total-Dri liner to wick away unvented moisture, and offers superior abrasion protection. The liner’s DuraZone abrasion patches at the top of the boot help extend the liner’s life by reducing the wear that typically results from shin guards positioned beneath the tongue. Smooth Contour collar pads also help reduce high-ankle abrasions, and multi-density memory foam ankle pads comfortably lock the skater’s foot into the boot for better control. The FT380 features CCM’s Anatomical Response footbed with a thin layer of foam but an ample contact area between the foot and the skate. The fit profile of the FT380 is medium volume, like all Jetspeed skates. It has a slightly narrow forefoot and heel thanks to CCM’s well-known heel lock and a more tapered toe. While the instep is a standard medium volume, the overall fit is a little more snug, just right for players with in-between-sized feet. CCM Premier R1.9 Intermediate Goalie Leg Pads. pads are designed to produce powerful rebounds that allow the goaltender to reset and move into position for a potential second save. The leg pads achieve this due to the extremely rigid internal foams that give excellent re-distribution of energy. While the pads have no visible breaks there is a single internal core break below the knee to allow better flexibility, and CCM has kept the pad above the knee completely rigid to ensure a strong 5 hole closure. The thin profile design helps improve center of mass when moving and dropping into the butterfly, as well as reduces weight, resulting in the light Premier pad. Strapping safety is in the Premier R1.9 goal is achieved throughout the back of the leg channel with a new Pro strapping system. With a single leather strap at the knee, and a single leather strap at the top of the calf channel, the pad is held to your leg in key spots and giving the pad an extremely close feel. CCM has incorporated a 4” wide Velcro calf lock keeping the leg snug into the pad, but allowing fast rotation.
