This type of stick will fall under the precision shooter’s category thanks to patented XCORE technology and complimenting features showcased in the XC5 ACF. This is a compressible urethane insert embedded into the core of the blade starting in the heel and extending just past the center. This technology will produce an average of 30% more rotational puck spin leading to less flutter shots and more precise and accurate shots. XCORE technology also dampens and cradles the puck during passing and puck handling providing even more control and feel. The CCM Ribcor 49K was designed for elite players looking for performance at a fraction of the cost. Ribcor has always been about generating efficient loading to achieve a quick releasing shot in a low-kick package and the 49K does just that with PopMatrix Technology while still providing excellent control and accuracy from the Ascent Blade. The 49K features PopMatrix technology, a nice carry over technology seen in the Ribcor Trigger as well as last year’s Reckoner. PopMatrix is a unique visual technology that consists of carbon fibers which are permanently in tension due to the unique concave geometry through the taper of the shaft. The idea of this is to get easy loading, more efficient energy transfer and a faster snap back as quickly as possible. CCM has been able to come up with quantifiable measurements to show that the 49K has the highest release rate from a CCM stick at its price point. The performance fibers that are found in the rib are also protected by an outer layer composed of protective fibers to put durability issues to rest. This all translates into less effort required to load the fibers of the shaft, which results in a load, release, and feel unlike any other on the market. As far a construction goes, the 49K is composed with a fuse construction made with a high quality carbon fiber throughout the entirety of the stick. The orientation of the fibers creates the 3:1 High Power Taper Ratio, which means that it has a stiffer top and bottom in relation to the front and back of the shaft. This results in less twisting on shots and more direct power transfer. Moving down to the blade, the 49K comes equipped with Ascent Blade. Think you know Reactor sticks? Think again. For 2015, the entire Reactor line of sticks has been revamped to offer goalies with even more options while choosing their companion of choice. The composite construction of the previous Reactor line has been replaced with a more traditional and reliable foam core construction that goalies of all skill levels will love. The Vapor family of skates continues to be the most popular family within Bauer's 3-fit platform. Although still considered a Vapor skate, the X200 goes a little outside of the typical “Vapor” fit. Instead of the standard V-fit profile (standard width through toebox, narrower fit in the heel and ankle) we are used to seeing on the Vapor line, the 200 is less snug and closer to a classic style fit. Unlike its other Vapor counterparts, the X200 features only a sublimated premium nylon quarter package and will not have the OD1N concept skate-inspired thermoformed X-rib pattern. And although you cannot heat mold this skate to your foot, the quarter package will still provide adequate support during tight turns and quick cross overs. The Bauer Nexus N9000 Hockey Elbow Pads feature an asymmetrical elbow cap shape to fit the natural shape of each arm.
