The composite construction of the previous Reactor line has been replaced with a more traditional and reliable foam core construction that goalies of all skill levels will love. The paddle of the Reactor 9000 is constructed of a high density urethane core combined with 10 carbon strips running the length of the paddle to add stiffness and reduce breakage. This layup is manufactured in a traditional, symmetrical paddle geometry for goalies who prefer a classic feel and performance. It wouldn’t be a Bauer stick without the latest and greatest technology. In the 9000, the designers have included a Carbon Triaxial Braid carbon weave to reinforce the blade, again adding stiffness and reducing breakage in the high impact areas. An additional reinforced shooter strip along the length of the blade prevents blade flex, allowing for more consistent deflections and puck handling. The shaft is constructed of an aspen core, reinforced with carbons strips for both reinforcement and improving shaft stiffness. The Bauer Nexus N9000 Hockey Elbow Pads feature an asymmetrical elbow cap shape to fit the natural shape of each arm. The injected PE elbow cap also provides solid coverage to both the elbow cap and forearm as well. Extending out of the forearm, Bauer uses a molded high density foam guard reinforced with a plastic insert for high-level slash protection across the top of the forearm. The Bauer N9000 elbow pads utilize a 2-piece design with a floating bicep guard that connects by a single elastic strap at the top of the elbow cap, providing a very flexible and mobile fit. That bicep guard has a wide medium-density foam construction with a molded plastic base for solid, wrapping protection, including an extensive dome cap to cover the side of the elbow joint. The Bauer Vapor X800 Elbow Pads give players a great flexible fit with solid, mid-level protection. Bauer uses Free Flex construction that allows the bicep guard, elbow cap, and forearm guard to move flexibly and partially free from each other. The X800 elbow pads use an injected PE (plastic) elbow cap topped with medium density foams that add an extra layer of protection for you and other players on the ice. The flexible medium density foam used in the bicep and forearm guards are reinforced by internal PE (plastic inserts) that are both flexible and protective.
