The CCM QuickLite Hockey Elbow Pads are the flagship CCM QLT elbow pads and provide unbelievably lightweight, elite-level protection. The QuickLite elbows have a 3-piece design with floating bicep and forearm guards to allow the arm to move freely and flex without the pad getting in the way. This is also the only elbow pad in the lineup to use the extremely lightweight and protective Zotefoam®. Using Zotefoam®, the elbow pads are able to significantly cut down weight without sacrificing protection. The bicep guard uses the Zotefoam®, in combination with a molded HD foam to wrap around the upper arm and offer great protection. Along the outside of the arm, CCM also uses their Ventshield, which is an engineered sturdy plastic piece that's vented to allow air to flow through to the pad while protecting that area. Inside the pad, CCM uses Dry Foam technology to reduce the weight of the pad by using closed-cell foams that absorb less sweat. The Tacks 6092 skate offers up a huge value at its price point. Although this is not the absolute top of the line model, many of those top tiered features trickle down to the 6092 to provide a comfortable and high performing skate for elite skaters. More importantly, CCM altered the fitting characteristics of this Tacks line to be more anatomical right out of the box. Getting right into the boot construction, CCM used a high end, textured, and layer-formed boot frame that has that metallic mesh look. It has strategic reinforcements used to promote elite level support with effortless energy transfer, combine all this with the Tacks AttackFrame composite core and you get a boot that is lightweight, rigid, and thermo-formable to give an anatomical and customized fit all around the skate. This fit profile provides a close fit in the heel and ankle with a medium width throughout the boot. Like the Super Tacks, the 6092 features CCM’s premier skate lining, TotalDri Liner. This is a lightweight liner that wicks away moisture very quickly and works well with the vented exhaust system placed on the outsole of the skate. These features work together to push any moisture out of the boot, keeping the skate even more lightweight and comfortable. On the inside, symmetrical multi-density memory foam pads wrap around the players foot to further enhance the customized fit and overall comfort. Another nice little feature are the smooth contour comfort pads found along the neck/collar of the skate to alleviate any pressure put on the ankles during turning. Moving to the tongue, CCM used a 7mm traditional felt tongue equipped with reinforcement layers to increase comfort around the front of the ankle as well as providing excellent protection with an injected lace-bite protector. Lastly, we see the SpeedBlade 4.0 Holder which provides an additional four millimeters of height (when compared to the older E-Pro holder) mounted to the 6092. This holder allows for a greater angle of attack and more aggressive turns. Complementing the SpeedBlade 4.0 Holder is CCM’s SpeedBlade Stainless Steel runner. The CCM Tacks 6092 Goalie Ice Hockey Skates have many of the same features found on the highest price point model. They are designed with a stiff construction that has an asymmetrical boot cut to allow a deeper crouch and more explosive movements. The Tacks 6092 goal skates were created with maximum performance in mind. The quarter package on the goal skates use a Power Form Composite that gives great power and agility by ensuring the boot can flex in the most important areas when pushing off. The skate also features a heat moldable option that can further personalize the boot fit to each goaltender's foot. The asymmetrical cut on the ankle of the boot is reinforced with soft memory foam, and is designed to reduce stress on the ankle when in a deep crouch.
