To boost durability, CCM reinforced their nylon shell with abrasion panels in high-wear areas. The liner above the waist is an upgraded microfiber that is very soft and moisture wicking, while the legs are lined with low-density foams for comfort and mesh for breathability. The same highly protective combination of molded hard plastic (PE) and beefy medium-density foams can be found in the kidney protector, tailbone insert and lower thigh guards. In the hips' PE inserts, CCM brings back their patented JDP technology to disperse the force of impacts. The key upgrade for the S29 goalie pants is the inclusion of PORON® hip floaters. The PORON® foam is designed to help withstand and minimize impacts to keep you protected and comfortable on the ice.
