The tongue is upgraded with center-injected foams and includes an embossed lace guard. Combined, these features offer better protection for the top of the foot from pucks, slashes, and lace bite. The FT360 boot features CCM’s DuraZone patches at the top of the quarter liner to help reduce abrasions caused by shin guards. If you wear your guards beneath the skate tongue, they often wear into the quarter package interior—a problem the DuraZone patches address. The rest of the liner is a heavy-duty microfiber material that’s comfortable and soft to the touch, and does an excellent job wicking moisture not released through the skate’s bottom vent. The FT360 comes with CCM’s Anatomical Response footbed, giving players a contoured fit for excellent support and comfort. The FT360, like all Jetspeed skates, is a medium-volume skate, but its fit shades toward the tighter side in the heel and forefoot. The Tacks 6092 skate offers up a huge value at its price point. Although this is not the absolute top of the line model, many of those top tiered features trickle down to the 6092 to provide a comfortable and high performing skate for elite skaters. More importantly, CCM altered the fitting characteristics of this Tacks line to be more anatomical right out of the box. Getting right into the boot construction, CCM used a high end, textured, and layer-formed boot frame that has that metallic mesh look. It has strategic reinforcements used to promote elite level support with effortless energy transfer, combine all this with the Tacks AttackFrame composite core and you get a boot that is lightweight, rigid, and thermo-formable to give an anatomical and customized fit all around the skate. This fit profile provides a close fit in the heel and ankle with a medium width throughout the boot. Like the Super Tacks, the 6092 features CCM’s premier skate lining, TotalDri Liner. This is a lightweight liner that wicks away moisture very quickly and works well with the vented exhaust system placed on the outsole of the skate. These features work together to push any moisture out of the boot, keeping the skate even more lightweight and comfortable. On the inside, symmetrical multi-density memory foam pads wrap around the players foot to further enhance the customized fit and overall comfort. Another nice little feature are the smooth contour comfort pads found along the neck/collar of the skate to alleviate any pressure put on the ankles during turning. Moving to the tongue, CCM used a 7mm traditional felt tongue equipped with reinforcement layers to increase comfort around the front of the ankle as well as providing excellent protection with an injected lace-bite protector. Lastly, we see the SpeedBlade 4.0 Holder which provides an additional four millimeters of height (when compared to the older E-Pro holder) mounted to the 6092. The Vapor family of skates continues to be the most popular family within Bauer's 3-fit platform. Although still considered a Vapor skate, the X200 goes a little outside of the typical “Vapor” fit.
