The construction in the 9060 also features 400D lightweight, high quality nylon panels which reduce the overall weight of the pants while also optimizing durability. In the hip, CCM uses a pro-level JDP cap construction designed to disperse the force of impact away from the hip joint, while also enhancing overall protection. The hip cap also includes PE foam which further protects this area from common impacts like collisions, contact with the ice, and blocked shots. CCM uses molded PE for advanced protection in key areas of the pant. A molded PE cap is included in both the kidney area and thigh guard of the 9060. The floating thigh guard also includes PE foam for top-end protection and a leg zipper which provides easy access for custom embroidery as well as a personalized fit. For back protection, the Tacks 9060 has a fixed molded PE spine for solid impact resistance in the lower back. Also included in this model is an internal belt system, allowing for a custom fit while also offering a length adjusting zipper. This feature includes a 1-inch length extension for personalization if you need some extra length to your pant based on your height or personal preference for how you want your hockey pants to fit. The CCM Tacks 5092 Ice Hockey Pants feature good protection for the intermediate player by offering solid protection in all the critical areas. To boost durability, CCM reinforced their nylon shell with abrasion panels in high-wear areas. The liner above the waist is an upgraded microfiber that is very soft and moisture wicking, while the legs are lined with low-density foams for comfort and mesh for breathability. The same highly protective combination of molded hard plastic (PE) and beefy medium-density foams can be found in the kidney protector, tailbone insert and lower thigh guards. In the hips' PE inserts, CCM brings back their patented JDP technology to disperse the force of impacts. The Bauer Nexus N7000 hockey pant is the base model in the latest Nexus pant line that features a classic construction to offer a wide, volume fit. This pant was designed to promote mobility and maximum coverage and protection at a fraction of the cost. Starting with the thigh guard, a 2-piece ergonomic PE plastic guard is used and has been made to comfortably wrap around the thighs. Moving on up to the hip, Bauer kept it simple with an effective molded dome construction PE cap that offers great protection. To reduce overall weight, the spine guard has been outfitted with high density foam and an added plastic insert to really protect from falls on the ice or collisions with other players. The kidneys feature mid-density foam with an additional PE insert as a reinforcement to the upper part of the pant. To keep everything contained, an abrasion resistant 400 Denier nylon outer shell holds it all together. For comfort, the N7000 is lined with a hydrophobic mesh liner. This lining material is moisture wicking keeping these pads dry to keep the player feeling cool and lightweight during game play.
